Wiggles& Giggles is a dream come true for owner
Darlene Wigglesworth. While attending Providence College in the late 80's
she realized a desire to own her own business someday. Not knowing when
that dream would become reality, she took her accounting degree and began a
successful career in the financial area of a large insurance company in
Hartford, CT. In the late 90's she was reintroduced to scrapbooking at a
neighborhood Creative Memories™ party. Her love of scrapbooking along with
the lack of available local supplies put the entrepreneur wheels in motion.
After a lot of planning and hard work, on July 26, 2001, Wiggles &
Giggles was opened.
In January of 2007
another dream was realized as Wiggles & Giggles underwent a major
expansion and moved down the road from its original location. We now are the largest scrapbook and
paper crafts store in the Northeast.
We sell supplies for scrapbooking, stamping, brass stenciling,
quilling, card making and invitations.
We also have a digital scrapbooking self serve kiosk as well as
photo machines and a scanner for printing out digital media or scanned
prints and scrapbook pages. Another
service added at our new location is album engraving. This allows customers to add that
personal touch to their albums by imprinting titles, dates and more.
Many people wonder how
our name, Wiggles & Giggles, came about. It started, of course, when
Darlene married Paul Wigglesworth on October 21,1989. Ever since, it has
been a constant topic of conversation. The Giggles part comes from her
desire to enjoy life and never take things too seriously. It seems that
there are too many people wearing cell phones and pagers and getting caught
up in the fast pace of day-to-day routines. As technology and the Internet
have evolved, they have made us a low touch society. Today's children seem
to be losing their creativity. We feel that crafting can be a wonderful
hobby and creative outlet for people of all ages. We strive to give both
adults and children a place to go to have fun. Whether it is to just stop
by and pick up supplies, to attend a Friday night crop, a mom and me event
or a party, we hope you leave us with a smile on your face.
